LGV Training at its very best. We only train our students in ex-industry LGV vehicles, no shortend or cut down trucks at Parrot.
So you wanna drive a big truck eh?
It’s called the Category C licence, but if you’re a bit old school we’ll call it Class 2.
The category C licence (Class 2 if you’re a bit old like me) entitles the holder, who must be 18 years of age to drive any LGV rigid vehicle regardless of the number of axles or weight.
Most students enrol on a three day course, with the test being taken on the last day. The course includes plenty of on the road practical experience, with some off road practice for the reverse manoeuvre. All of our instructors are ex-industry, so know their stuff. We have our own on site private manoeuvring area for the reversing exercise and learning the basics.
The Training Vehicles
You will be driving one of our fully automatic boxed rigid vehicles. They are ex-industry spec and have not been altered in any way, this reflects a more realistic driving experience (no chopped down, shortened minimum test requirement vehicles at Parrot). These trucks are most likely the type of vehicles you will be driving when you’ve passed your test, and prospective future employers will recognise this.
We have full trainer booking facilities that allow us to book and manage your theory and practical tests and we can also help arrange your medical appointments if you wish.
